‘Drachinifel’ is an engineer-turned-historian who specialises in naval history and engineering, primarily cover the 1750-1950 time period. He has worked with a wide variety of naval historians and museum ships to try and accomplish the goal of bringing accurate history to a wider audience. The main focus of his work is the Youtube channel of the same name, but he has also given presentations at the Western Naval History Association and Society for Military History conferences, received the Historic Naval Ships Association 2022 International Leadership Award and is currently writing a number of books, the first of which will be publishing with USNI.

He also likes to conduct practical experiments and is currently working towards a larger-scale recreation of Greek Fire, after surviving initial small-scale attempts.
