Ship-Shape is about Sexual Health
Sexual health covers an understanding of what is normal so that we can be aware of what might be abnormal. We have included areas such as contraception and sexually transmitted infections together with issues that are perhaps more embarrassing to most of us such as the variety of sexual practices. Ship-Shape is an Eastern Birmingham PCT funded project whose aim is to tell you about sexual health services across the City, where you can find information, advice and treatment.
Ship-Shape covers services both in the community (your GP and local clinics) as well as more specialist hospital services. It gives contact details for a wide variety of other agencies who may specialise in teenage pregnancy, gay issues, HIV and so on. The links we provided to other sites should provide the answers to most of the questions that you will ever think of!
Do you think you have a sexually transmitted infection and need help? Contact your STI clinic (GUM clinic), Your GP or other provider.
Patient Survey Please help us improve our sexual health services and tell us what you think in our online survey.
