The emergency pill works to prevent an unplanned pregnancy (97% of the time) if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. Alternatively you should contact your GP or a Family Planning Clinic, who can fit an emergency coil. These are very effective and work up to 5 days after unprotected sex (in some cases even up to 2 or more weeks).
